The two-litre turbo stratified injection (TSI) engine provides an exceptional output of 147 kW, whilst a dynamic running gear developed specifically for the Eos combines Golf’s strut-system front suspension with the Passat’s four-link rear arrangement. Add to this Servotronic® speed-sensitive power steering and cruise control as standard, and you have a car that’s as beautiful to drive as it is to look at.

It goes without saying that the new Eos hasn’t only raised levels of driving enjoyment, but levels of safety too. From the big things (like a comprehensive airbag system, ESP and ABS) to the small details (like front fog lights and safety-optimised front head restraints) – it’s got you covered.

• Driver, passenger and curtain airbags, with passenger airbag deactivation key and side airbags at the front.
• The active roll-over protection system is extended automatically within a fraction of a second in the event of the vehicle rolling over to provide the best possible protection for all passengers.
• With ParkPilot (optional), sensors scan the area behind the vehicle, warning of any obstacles, and if necessary, preventing the roof from being lowered or raised.
• Front and rear fog lights are standard and a third brake light with LED technology is integrated in the rear lid.
